Supporting the Armidale Aboriginal Community Garden

The Armidale Aboriginal Community Garden was started by a group of local community and researchers at the UNE. Since the original funding ended, the garden has struggled to keep the momentum necessary to sustain the garden. During the consultation process for this project, so many folks mentioned the garden as a site where climate action, indigenous knowledge and community health align. As such, in the final phase of the project, we’ve consulted with local community and invested in personnel to revitalise the garden. Between now and March there will be events at the garden. For more information about the earlier iteration see https://armidalecommunitygarden.org/

The Garden coordinator will be working out of Armajun Aboriginal Health Service for the first few months, for information about Armajun go to: https://www.armajun.org.au/
